View-Through to double productivity
The View-Through system is an innovative machine vision configuration that enables the concentration of two separate inspection stations on one side into one compact inspection station on both sides.
This solution is ideal for space-constrained applications where two or more sides of an object need to be inspected. The standard configuration consists of two cameras, two dome or flat-dome illuminators, and two View-Through active backlights.
Active backlights are illuminators that can change their optical properties based on the presence or absence of power. They act as an optically transparent window when the power is off, while becoming a homogeneous diffuser when the power is on.
The system is designed for high-speed inspections, in which two sides of a moving object need to be illuminated and inspected by two opposing cameras, and is ideal when the workpiece support is glass or generic transparent material such as plexiglass or polycarbonate. View-through backlighting is compatible with high-resolution cameras.
