Ideal for applications with space restrictions where two or more sides of an object need to be inspected and space is limited.
- Allows two separate one-side inspection stations to be concentrated into a single, compact two-side inspection station.
- Compact configuration to simultaneously inspect both sides of an object.
- Uses two dome or flat-dome illuminators.
- Features two active View-Through backlights.
- The optical properties of the active backlights can change depending on the power supply.
- View-Through active backlights that act as optically transparent windows or uniform diffusers depending on the power supply.
Standard configuration:
The standard configuration includes:
- 2 dome/flat dome illuminators. These provide direct/diffuse lighting on the inspected surface.
- 2 View-Through backlights. These provide excellent contrast against the background.
- 2 cameras that can be operated with lenses. These capture the images.
- 1 four-channel LED controller. Activates the cameras and controls the 4 illuminators.
The acquisition process consists of two consecutive phases called phase-1 and phase-2. In both phases, the action elements are coloured and the non-active elements are transparent.
Phase #1 :
The left camera captures the image taken with the left flat dome and the right View-Through backlight. These illuminators are now active and the top side of the piece is imaged.
Phase #2 – acquisition of the bottom part of the plastic cap:
The right camera captures the image taken with the right flat dome and the left View-Through backlight. These illuminators are now active and the bottom side of the piece is imaged.
The time shift between Phase #1 and Phase #2 is typically 1 ms. and is so short that the two consecutive acquisitions can be considered almost simultaneous.
- Allows the inspection of two or more sides of an object within a limited space.
- Suitable for high-speed inspections.
- Industrial automation: The View-Through system can be used to inspect electronic components, manufactured products, mechanical components and more, improving quality control and optimising the production process.
- Packaging: the View-Through system is used to inspect objects, seals, packaging and other product characteristics to ensure compliance with quality standards while minimising packaging errors.
- Quality control: The View-Through system is used for quality control of moving products and materials.
